Countryside - Conservation

Countryside Management Projects care for the countryside through practical action. They rely on the active involvement of local communities - enabling people to play a vital part in looking after their local environment. Countryside Management focuses on nature conservation, access and informal recreation issues.

We offer the opportunity to volunteer in Parks and Open Spaces and in the Green Belt of Enfield to carry out practical conservation work. We also provide information and advice on countryside conservation and where to apply for funding

Volunteers will need to bring:

• working clothes and sound footwear
• waterproofs if wet
• a pair of gloves
• refreshments and a packed lunch (tea, coffee & biscuits provided on Groundforce)

All volunteer projects will commence at the meeting place at 10.00 am and finish by 4.00 pm.

We will provide:

• supervision and training (tasks will be led by Outreach Team )
• tools and equipment

No skills or experience are required as training will be provided for all aspects of the work. The aim of the projects is to carry out practical improvements while enjoying yourself, so work at your own pace.
