Enfield Traveller Education Service

The traveller service has teachers and home or school support staff who can help with attendance issues and supporting traveller children whilst they are in schools.

The service offers support in the following ways:

• To schools by offering training and advice for staff in schools and the LA.
• To children in schools to help them in the process of settling into schools and with their learning in lessons.
• To parents and families by giving advice on managing the education system in Enfield.
• In addition staff will attend case conferences and support applications for assessment.

Young people are referred to the service by schools, LA admissions, The Education Welfare service and by parents themselves. Following a referral support is tailored to the individual requirements.

Eligibility
Traveller children and families who request a place at an Enfield School or who are on role at an Enfield School.
