Licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation | |

Certain, higher risk houses in multiple occupation need to be licensed by the Council under a compulsory national scheme. Currently the property must be at least 3 storeys in height, have at least five people living there (in not less than 2 households). Compulsory Licensing started on 6th April 2006. Owners of properties that need a license are required to contact the Council and apply for such a license. Eligibility
