Public Health Team

The Public Health Team provides help and advice about blockages and defects to drains and sewers.

The Public Health Team respond to queries from the public about problems with domestic drainage. The team will try to help people identify who is responsible for defects and blockages. Initially we will try to resolve the query over the phone. But if is not possible an officer will visit to give advice on site. The Council also has powers to compel owners to remedy defects if they are reluctant to carry out work.
