Vandalism - prevention measures

The local authority implement measures aimed at preventing vandalism within the area (CCTV, wardens, improved street lighting etc.) and provide advice and information on measures which can be taken by individuals to deter vandals and how to notify the council about incidents of vandalism. Where the vandalism has taken place on public property the council will carry out repairs.
The Council has various measures for deterring vandalism to its properties. These range from CCTV, entryphone systems, improved lighting, concierge and resident caretakers. We actively encourage residents to report vandalism and to provide any information they have on the culprits.
Eligibility
All residents living in Council properties.
Required Customer Information
Exact location of the vandalism and any information the resident has about the person who has caused the vandalism.
Service Level Agreement and Turnaround
We will respond to postal and telephone queries within 10 working days. We will acknowledge e-mail queries within 24 hours and respond to them within 10 working days.
