Footway Crossings, Driveway, Vehicle Crossover, vehicle crossingProviding access to residential or commercial property over the pavement i.e. dropped kerbs for vehicle access. The council will construct domestic vehicular crossovers at the request of residents. There is a charge payable for this service and in some locations, such as on major highways, planning permission may be required. To apply for a vehicle crossing/dropped kerb outside for access to your property, you will need to complete an application. Once we have received your application an inspector will visit, and shortly after you will be supplied with an estimate. Should you, the resident or a contractor wish to apply for a Heavy Duty Crossing or make an excavation eg to construct a temporary vehicular crossing across the footway during building works, you will need to contact Highways Services for further details. Eligibility:
Council tenants may apply for a crossing, however Highway Services will seek approval from the Housing Department prior assessing the application. If the applicant is registered disabled, the application fee will be wavered. Required customer information:

After your application has been approved, you must complete any necessary works to create the parking area
