Council tax - annual notification

General Information

Council tax is payable on domestic dwellings and is charged by the local authority to pay for the services it provides. The Council tax charges are published each year and bills are sent together with information on how charges are calculated, how to apply for possible reductions and details of where and when to pay.

Council Tax is a local tax set by local councils to help pay for services. Enfield’s Collection service maintains the list of Council Tax payers and collects the money that is due. There is one bill per dwelling, whether it is a house, bungalow, flat, maisonette, mobile home or houseboat and whether it is owned or rented.

Eligibility
Normally the person living in the property will pay the Council Tax, providing it is their sole or main residence and they are over 18 years of age. Please see the links below for more information.
