Carriageway Resurfacing May and June 2009

As part of Enfield Council’s aim for continued improvement to the Borough’s footways and carriageways, Highway Services will be implementing carriageway-resurfacing works at the following locations in May and June 2009:

• Elizabeth Ride N9 commencing 18/05/09 (Reconstruction)
• Tenniswood Road EN1 (Baker Street to Churchbury Lane) commencing 26/05/09
• Claremont Road EN4 and Courtleigh Avenue EN4 commencing 26/05/09
• Suffolk Road EN3 commencing 28/05/09
• Rydal Way EN3 commencing 29/05/09
• Turin Road N9 commencing 01/06/09
• Oxford Road N9 commencing 02/06/09
• Dover Road N9 commencing 05/06/09
• Beaconsfield Road N9 commencing 05/06/09
• Brookside Road N9 commencing 08/06/09
• Inverness Road N18 commencing 09/06/09
• Ladysmith Road N18 commencing 09/06/09
• Woolmer Road N18 commencing 10/06/09
• Woolmer Gardens N18 commencing 10/06/09
• Raynham Avenue N18 commencing 11/06/09
• Pentyre Avenue N18, Derwent Avenue and Weir Hall Gardens commencing 11/06/09

Commencement of works

The work is scheduled to be undertaken on the dates given above, subject to change.

Special Conditions

The works will be carried out under phased road closures in order that they are both completed as quickly as possible and any disruption is kept to a minimum. These closures will take place from either 08:00 to 17:00 or 9:30 to 15:30 each day and signed diversion routes will be erected for vehicular traffic.

For those residents who live on or adjacent to the roads being resurfaced we would be grateful if you would refrain from parking or leaving vehicles on the road whilst the works are being carried out. As the works are being undertaken under a road closure we would ask if you could minimise your vehicular movements between these times and liase with the Contractor when you need to access/egress your driveway.
