Use of vehicle clamps for HGV's only. (For overnight lorry ban). Illegally parked vehicles causing obstruction or safety hazard will be removed.

The vehicle park is operated by National car parks Limited our parking contractor. There are parking spaces for lorries to pay to park overnight. Enviro crimes Unit also have spaces with in the vehicle park these are used for vehicles that have been removed by them for being untaxed or abandoned. The remainder of spaces are for vehicles that have been removed from the public highway as the result of a penalty charge notice being issued for a parking offence. Payments can also be made at the vehicle park for outstanding penalty charge notices, resident and business permits and visitor scratch cards for controlled parking zones, dispensations, season tickets carers and special permits. Other functions carried out are renewals for all permits and requests for application forms for permits. Applications for dispensations mainly for builders carrying out works on properties where there are waiting restrictions outside. The vehicle park staff is responsible for contacting trace when vehicles are removed for parking illegally.
