Student Organisations – Youth groups, Clubs and Activities

Schools may offer clubs and societies in a wide range of activities including drama, arts and sports for students during lunch times, after school and during school holidays. Evening clubs in sports and other activities may be offered at school sites during the evenings and school holidays.

The youth Service offers activities and opportunities outside school in clubs principally for young people aged 13 -19. These will include sports, dance, music making and recording, health and ICT. There are opportunities for residentials, volunteering, adventurous activities and skills programmes in music, film, ICT , and basic motor mechanics. All clubs offer access to advice and information and the opportunity to take part in democracy and participation programmes. Youth Clubs are open in the evenings at the weekends and during school holidays.

The Youth Service offers the Duke of Edinburgh Award for young people aged 14 –21 through schools and through an open award centre.

Duke of Edinburgh Award Programme: Age 14 – 21
Youth Service Programmes: Age 13 - 19
