Information about the Parks and Open Spaces Service including park locations, facilities, opening times, events etc.

Parks and Open Spaces Services
The Parks and Open Spaces Service manage, develop and maintain Enfield’s parks, allotments, cemeteries, playing fields and open spaces. These services are delivered in three distinct ways:

Operational Services -10 officers and 85 grounds maintenance staff
Parks Operations Unit maintain the Borough’s allotments, cemeteries, public conveniences, parks and open spaces.

Business and Development Services - 26 officers
Arboriculture Team manages of the Parks’ tree stock.

Assets and Projects Team manage the Parks property portfolio and the Parks Capital Improvement Programme.

Cemeteries administer the interment and registration of the dead, and the management of the Cemeteries grounds maintenance contract.

Parks Finance provides financial and procurement services.

Parks Business Unit provides support services, including allotments, sports pitch lettings, events and customer service.

Parks Outreach Team enable and support community involvement in the management and maintenance of the street scene and green space, including the management of the Enfield in Bloom campaign.

Safer Neighbourhoods Parks Unit and Safer Neighbourhoods Estates Unit
The Safer Neighbourhoods Parks Unit polices the Borough’s parks and open spaces, allotments and cemeteries tackling anti-social behaviour and criminality & issuing fixed penalty notices. The team consists of 1 Sergeant and 1 Constable, 15 Police Community Support Officers and supported by 1 part-time Metropolitan Police Inspector.

The Safer Neighbourhoods Estates Unit polices the Borough’s housing estates tackling anti-social behaviour and criminality & issuing fixed penalty notices. The team consists of 9 Police Community Support Officers supported by 1 Sergeant.

Park Opening & Closing Timetable
Enfield’s parks are open every day of the year from sunrise until dusk.
They open at 8:00am Monday to Saturday and 8:30am on Sundays.
Closing times vary according to the seasons so please refer to the timetable for further details.
