Community Languages

Books, DVDs and recorded music in community languages are available in several of our libraries.
Asian DVDs are available at Central, Edmonton Green, Palmers Green, Oakwood, Southgate, Ridge Avenue, Bowes Road, Ponders End, and Ordnance Road.
Greek DVDs are available at Palmers Green, Edmonton Green and Southgate Library.
There are children's books in Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, Farsi, French, Greek, Gujarati, Hindi, Igbo, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Serbo Croatian, Somali, Spanish, Swahili, Tamil, Turkish, Twi, Vietnamese and Yoruba,. Not every library has every language so just ask at your local library which languages they stock.

Smaller collections of some languages are available in other libraries. Some libraries have newspapers of interest to people from ethnic communities.
Albanian music is available at Edmonton Green library.
