Pest Control Treatment Service

We offer advice and information about pest control and can treat for infestations of mice (indoors), rats, fleas, bed bugs, cockroaches, pharaoh’s ants and wasps.

A charge is made for treatment. Payment can be made by cheque or postal order to the officer on the first visit. Alternatively, payment may be made by debit or credit card over the phone at the time of booking. If you are a private tenant we will undertake to contact your landlord on your behalf regarding payment.

We will arrange treatment once agreement to pay has been received. If you are a Council tenant we undertake treatment which is free to you as the cost is borne by the Housing Dept. We provide a concessionary treatment service, with a fee of £20 for the above pests to owner-occupiers in receipt of a designated low income or disability benefit i.e. Job Seekers Allowance, Income Support, Pension Credit, Council Tax Benefit (not single occupancy), Severe Disability Allowance, Incapacity Benefit, and Disabled Persons Tax Credit.

Urban Fox, Pharaoh’s Ant, Ghost Ant, Black Garden Ant, House Mouse, Rat, Wasp, Common Household Beetles (Carpet Beetles, Larder beetles, Stored Product Insects and Weevils), General Household Pests (Earwigs, Silverfish, Spiders, Woodlice, Slugs & Snails), Grey Squirrel, Feral Pigeon, Woodlouse, Cockroach, Brown Tail Moth, Textile and Stored Food Product Moths.

These can be requested by telephone, e-mail or post from Pest Control or by visiting Environment Direct Reception B Block North Civic Centre, where the leaflets can be requested from the Environmental Health Team.

None.

Required customer information:
If requesting a concessionary treatment service as indicated above, proof of receipt of the relevant benefit must be shown to the officer on the first visit.
