The Licensing Unit receive and administer Street Trading Licence applications, under Part III - Section 25 of the London Local Authorities Act 1990, for the selling of goods or the placement of tables and chairs on designated street trading sites. The service receives and administers Street Trading Licence applications and fees in addition to a range of other licences, permits and registrations. The Licensing Team operates during normal office hours and are available to take telephone calls, respond to e-mails and see applicants in Environment Direct, B Block reception, from 09.00 to 17.00hrs to offer help and advice. The Licensing Team consult other internal departments and outside agencies on applications including Environmental Health, Planning, Metropolitan Police and Fire Brigade. Officers regularly inspect licensed sites to ensure compliance with conditions attached to licences issued.
