The Licensing Unit receive and administer Deal in Game Licence applications, under Section 18 of the Game Act 1831, for the sale of fresh game. The service receives and administers Deal in Game Licence applications and fees in addition to a range of other licences, permits and registrations. The Licensing Team operates during normal office hours and are available to take telephone calls, respond to e-mails and see applicants in reception from 09.00 to 17.00hrs to offer help and advice. The Licensing Team consults other internal departments and outside agencies on applications and are required to consult with Environmental Health on these applications. Officers regularly inspect food premises selling fresh game to ensure compliance with licence conditions. Complaints about the premises selling fresh game or the condition of the fresh game sold can be made by eForm, telephone, e-mail, post or in person at the Civic Offices.
