Mobile meals (meals on wheels)

Our Home Meals service enables clients to have a nutritionally balanced diet, which contributes to general health and wellbeing. We provide a range of meals to meet dietary and cultural needs.

How much do you charge?
Hot Meals cost £3.35 per meal
Frozen Meals cost £3.20 per meal

When do you deliver?
Hot Meals are delivered daily between 12:00 noon and 2.00 pm.

Frozen Meals are delivered fortnightly between 8.00 am and 4.00 pm.

The Adult Services Purchasing Monitoring & Review Team will undertake timely reviews of your home meals service to make sure your assessed needs continue to be met.

Eligibility
The service is arranged following a Needs Assessment. Because we have to make sure that services are provided fairly and to those most in need, we use eligibility criteria to help us make decisions about who we can provide services to.

Required Customer Information
Date of birth, proof of address and identification documents are required prior to needs assessment.

Service Level Agreement and Turnaround
We will arrange with you, and your family members if appropriate, for your home meals service to start on a mutually agreed date. We can also arrange for any required equipment to be in place prior to the delivery of your first meal.

The Joint Home Meals Team operates a daily response service from Monday to Friday
8.45 am – 5.00 pm

An Out of Hours Service operates Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, 11.30 am – 3.00 pm
