Children and young people - young carers - support and advice

In order to be referred to the service for young carers which is a voluntary organisation called DAZU, an assessment needs to be completed by the assessment team. The assessment will look at what support the family are requesting and what additional support can be put in place to help the family.

Families can access the assessment team by phoning the contact centre and requesting to be put through. An initial assessment will be undertaken to look at what additional services can be introduced to support the family.

Eligibility
Families need to live in the London Borough of Enfield and be requesting a service from social services.

Required Customer Information
Documentation may be required to confirm address, disability or other issues which are discussed within the assessment.

Service Level Agreement and Turnaround
Initial Assessments should be completed within 7 working days. If the case is referred onto another service provider then there may be a dealy until the service begins.
