Social Services - Keeping Warm in Winter - Advice and Support

The local authority can provide information, assistance and advice about keeping warm in Winter. You may be entitled to a winter fuel payment (for those over 60) especially during periods of very cold weather. In addition, we are able to offer heaters on loan, however you will have to fulfil our criteria for this.

A short assessment of your circumstances will be completed. We can provide information and advice on how to contact your local DWP office in order to apply for a winter fuel payment and/or other financial assistance. In addition, we are able to offer loan heaters for short periods of time if you are without sufficient heating. We are unable to fund central heating installation and or repairs.

Eligibility
Support will only be offered to people where an assessment of their needs indicates it is required.

Required Customer Information
Confirmation of your date of birth and address will be required.

Service Level Agreement and Turnaround
Service time for loan equipment will be within 24 hours.
