AT Home Service (Assistive Technology at home)If a client is visually impaired, hard of hearing or has other disabilities for which he/she may need special equipment or adaptations to his/her home the local authority will provide such equipment which will assist in overcoming difficulties subject to an assessment of personal needs to determine eligibility. The AT Home service (Assistive Technology at home) is an integrated rehabilitation, equipment and adaptations service for people of all ages who have a physical or sensory disability, and their carers. This service covers health and social care and aims to promote well being by enabling people to remain as independent as possible in the community through the use of equipment, adaptations and new technology. Enfield Council works in partnership with the Enfield Primary Care trust, disabled people and their carers, and recognises the importance of service users' experience and expertise. The AT Home service brings together services that assist disabled people.
