Enlargement and Increase in Admission Number at Suffolks Primary School, Brick Lane, Enfield, EN1 3PU
Notice is given in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that London Borough of Enfield intends to make a prescribed alteration to Suffolks Community Primary School, Brick Lane, EN1 3PU from 1st September 2009.
The prescribed alteration involves the enlargement of the premises to enable the School to increase its intake from 30 to 60 pupils a year.
The current capacity of the school is 209 and the proposed capacity will be 420. The current number of pupils registered at the school is 210. The current admission number for the school is 30 and the proposed admission number will be 60.

Explanatory Notes
The demand for primary school places in the borough is increasing and is forecast to continue to do so. Suffolks School currently admits 30 pupils a year, but has agreed to an enlargement of the premises through a programme of new building works to enable its intake to increase to 60 pupils and help to meet the demand for places in the eastern area of the borough.
