Safety inspections – houses in multiple occupation (HMOs)

Inspections are carried out into houses in multiple occupation to look for disrepair, inadequate facilities, fire safety, general mismanagement and overcrowding.

Private sector housing standards team will identify houses through the licensing programme and from complaints by occupants. Houses are inspected and action taken to meet minimum standards set out in law.

Eligibility
Property address must be within the London Borough of Enfield boundaries.

Required Customer Information
Obtained at time of visit to the home (usually tenancy agreement/rent book and other relevant documents relating the complaint).

Service Level Agreement and Turnaround
We aim to respond to a request for service received by the team within 48 hrs.
